Our Repertoire

INTERLUDE has, since March 1991, performed over 250 concerts and shows in and around the Chester area, the Wirral and North Wales. We have staged concerts as far afield as Macclesfield and Evesham. Some of our spectaculars have been performed in the Refectory in Chester Cathedral – ‘Wartime Evenings’, ’20’s Evenings’ and ‘There’ll always be an England’.

INTERLUDE performed, for Chester In Concert, Bizet’s Opera ‘Carmen’ in the Chester Roman Amphitheatre with First Act Opera, a touring company based in London and the South East.
Attended by a vast crowd of 2,000 people, the production was hailed as an outstanding success by the press and by all who saw it.

INTERLUDE performed – again to great acclaim- with international singers in the Chester Summer Music Festivals.
Our three ‘Evenings of Opera’ concerts in the Town Hall, Chester, performed with ‘The Garden Consort’, a group of talented Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London singers, were organised by The Rotary Club of Chester. These ’sell-out’ affairs were considered to  be the best-ever Operas Concerts to have been seen and heard in Chester.

Our repertoire is vast, and includes Grand Opera, Barbershop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Operetta, Humorous Items and anything else you can think of! We’ll perform for you a full Music Hall or treat you to a concert of madrigals and we’ll include solos, duets, trios, quartets and concerted pieces. Whatever your occasion, we’ll do you whatever you need, and we’ll do it to order. If you are planning a Victorian ‘Sing-along’, or a ‘Songs from the Shows’ concert we are the people for you. Over the years we have performed many such. Our programe of ‘Christmas Music and Carols’ is an absolute ‘must’.
